Our Team

Scott began his financial career as an options trader on Wall Street before entering the family business in 1986. He’s since served as Vice President, COO,  and CEO, helping to transform Scheid Family Wines from a grape-growing operation to a vertically integrated, large-scale, sustainability-driven wine business.

As a member of several California wine industry associations and the local Monterey Jazz Festival Board of Directors, Scott has been a  passionate supporter of the wine business, arts, and culture.

After successful stints in restaurant management and corporate finance, Heidi—a proud USC alum—joined the family winery in 1992. Since 2001, she’s overseen the company’s sales and marketing, bringing our wines to every U.S. state and more than 30 countries.

Heidi has been an engaged member of the industry, serving as a director of Wine Market Council for 28 years and Chairman for two years, and as a
director of the California Association of Winegrape Growers for nine years, serving as Chairman for two years. She received the Wine Star Award “Person of the Year” from Wine Enthusiast in 2020.

Tony’s career is the culmination of more than four decades in the wine industry. After earning his B.S. in Viticulture at U.C. Davis, he managed some of California’s finest vineyards and wineries–and online grape and wine auctions–before heading up our Sales and Viticulture teams.

Tony’s influence extends beyond the winery, with board seats at the American Vineyard Foundation and National Grape Research Alliance, and patents for precision irrigation systems. At home, he’s equally hand-on, restoring a 1968 Dodge Dart GTS and upgrading his Jeep Scrambler for adventures on the Rubicon Trail.

Mike began his career as Controller of Scheid Family Wines in 1997, after working 12 years at the Big 4 accounting firm Deloitte. Mike became Scheid’s CFO in 2001 and oversees the finance, data analytics, and compliance departments.

Mike holds a B.A. in Business Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara. He’s an empty nester with his wife of 30 years Lauren and their dog Luna. Mike and Lauren have two sons, Jackson and Carter.

A veteran of the food and beverage industry, Robert brings more than 40 years of experience in operations management, marketing, HR, and IT to Scheid Family Wines. After working for some of the country’s best-known brands, Robert joined our team in 2018, taking on several vital roles within the company.

Outside the office, he’s just as industrious—visit any local car show, and you’ll likely see one of the classic vehicles he’s worked on.

Sylvia joined Scheid Family Wines in 2021 as CMO, bringing with her more than 15 years of alcohol beverage marketing experience. A seasoned expert across Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing start-ups, she specializes in strategic planning, digital marketing and e-Commerce, PR, and bringing innovative product ideas to market.

Beyond her impressive career, Sylvia has a few great stories up her sleeve – including the time she met the Dalai Lama while
in college.
